GRANDMA was founded by Mike McGee, Tim Platt, and Peter Mills Weiss. Beginning in 2011, GRANDMA created technological landscapes within which the performers competed with their surroundings and each other. In 2013, Ben Gansky joined GRANDMA as the fourth company member. Since 2014, GRANDMA’s work is composed of highly structured stories that exist at the border of reality and fiction, and of horror and humor. Using comedy to implicate its audience within performances that examine the logic of everyday life, we propose monstrous lessons from confessions of strategic intimacy.

GRANDMA performed it's full length piece MAKE PEOPLE at La Mama Experimental Theater in October of 2015 with the support of the Lower Manhattan Cultural Council Workspace program.
