Tim Platt is a comedian, actor, songwriter and puppeteer living in Brooklyn. His solo performance melds stand up, character work, and music into a singular comedic experience.
Currently, Tim is a Kickstarter Creator-In-Residence working on two comedy albums of music and audio sketch, one for adults and one for kids. He has been seen on Comedy Central, MasterClass with Steve Martin, The Late Show with Stephen Colbert and The Special without Brett Davis.
Tim wrote and performed the song "V is for Vegetable" for Sesame Street on the episode "Me Am Cookie Monster” and wrote the song “Disgusting Water Bottle” performed by Colin Meloy of the Decembrists for the Story Pirates Podcast. He also hosts the podcast Hampton High on the ForeverDog Podcast Network.
Tim is one half of the duo Pasic and Platt, a sketch group that utilizes improv to push sketch comedy towards realism. He writes and puppeteers for Cartoon Monsoon, an absurdist children show for adults. Under the pseudonym King Bozo, Tim illustrates cards and gives them to strangers daily (ilovegiftcards.tumblr.com).
His work has been seen at The Upright Citizens Brigade Theater, La Mama Experimental Theater, Union Hall, The Annoyance Theater, The Kennedy Center, The Invisible Dog, The Incubator Arts Project, The Magnet Theater, The People’s Improv Theater, Dixon Place, The CATCH Performance Series, Fresh Ground Pepper, the Silent Barn, and many other venues. Tim has trained in long form improvisation at The Upright Citizens Brigade Theater, The Second City, The Magnet Theater, and with Oberlin College’s Sunshine Scouts.
